For more than 20 years, Ziad Matta has surfed the world outside his native Lebanon. The corporate world opened to him the door of meeting very diversified cultures, sometimes as a resident, and many other times as a visitor.
The better understanding of these cultures drove him to rediscover his own identity and people. Writing became the spontaneous way of reporting and sharing this self and collective pilgrimage via present and past events.
Visual is one of the most powerful elements in any story, even more when teamed to the right word. The rising artist Elio Sahyoun has been enjoying the stories he discovers, before adding to them the beauty of his aqua colours. With these drawings, words are teamed to images that further sustain the beauty of every story.
